Where R They

Gulf Star logo

I was on the net and found your web site for Gulf Star owners. I thought I would send several pictures of OUR boat. We renamed the boat to  SHANGRI - LA and we try to live up to its namesake of a place with no worries where life is beautiful. We have had a wonderful time since we bought her and have enjoyed Almost every minute on her. There was that storm when we had 50 MPH winds and 18 ft. seas, I was not a real happy camper but the boat did her job and kept us safe.

This is the first picture we ever took of this boat. It was when we were deciding if we wanted to buy it or not. She is on the hard and open to the winter elements.

This is Our boat - SHANGRI - LA.  A 36 ft center cockpit sloop with an aft master cabin.

Built in 1972. Perfect for an older couple -  or a young couple with children. Easy to handle and yet big enough to entertain on.

The previous owner put very large davits on her that also holds 2 solar panels.

"SHANGRI - LA"  with a few friends, trying to get onboard the dingy for shore leave.

Leaving Raspberry Bay just off the Wisconsin shore. With Family & Friends onboard.

Hope you like the pictures. We love our boat and don't plan on getting another one.
